Artist Statement

Technological media and the web have connected individuals, giving a new social experience to an entire generation. Yet the individual human conscience is tested all the same, as it has been with each development in information technology throughout history.
Self-interest, needs, traditions, laws, and moral values must adjust under a barrage of influences and information. I use images which evoke ideas of paradise and home comforts to inspire the viewer to think about humanity’s steps to either connect to a broadening community or to compete for a place in one - as we step through a window to our future.
